2022 – Year in Review

To the Verto Community,

As we prepare for a new year, I am yet again reminded of the debt we owe to all those responsible for keeping us healthy and safe. While we have moved past the worst of the pandemic, its impact has highlighted many decades-old problems in healthcare. Siloed and disconnected information, cumbersome clinician workflows and patient pathways, and escalating costs and wait times are all serious threats to the sustainability of high quality care. It’s why, now more than ever, Verto is committed to delivering on our mandate of getting every patient to their best possible outcome in every sector of healthcare.

Because of our ability to address these complex and growing challenges we have been able to scale our impact with our customers across the continuum of care. In 2021, we deployed our Digital Twin Orchestration Platform technology across clinics and individual healthcare facilities. In 2022, we built on this momentum and launched solutions across hospitals, health systems, and regional health authorities. With more than 8.5M patients served to date, we have saved more than a combined 630 years for patients and caregivers and reduced unnecessary health system spending by more than $123M.

Internally, the growth of our team Vertonians mirrored our growing impact. We added key roles to our Product, Marketing, and Development teams to keep pace with our ambitions. A particular area of pride is how 50% of our co-op students continued their employment with Verto, demonstrating our commitment to supporting the next generation of Canadian health tech innovators.

Looking ahead to 2023, we see tremendous opportunity to support clients across and beyond Canada in their efforts to improve care delivery. In late 2022, we explored new markets in the US and Asia and are well on our way to adding new international clients soon.

I am so proud of the progress we have made over the past year and I’d like to extend a special thank you to our partners and clients for joining us on our journey. As we enter the new year, I truly believe the best is still yet to come for Verto.

Wishing you a safe and restful holiday season and a happy new year,

Michael Millar
